This fits perfectly on the Makita vacuum dust collection hose (Part No. 192108-A) I use with my Makita JVC600K jigsaw. The hose has one end (1" O.D. and 3/4" I.D.) that inserts into the dustport on the jigsaw. The other end of the hose has 2-1/2" O.D. and a 1-1/4" I.D. that is suppose to fit into the vacuum intake port for a Shop-Vac. My vacuum model has a 2-1/4" intake. This coupling is perfect for the conversion. The coupling makes a tight fit both on the 1-1/4" I.D. hose end because of the hose's soft rubber flexibility and the coupling's ridges on that end, and the other into the vacuum intake which is rigid and smooth as is the coupling.
